How can I more quickly find a specific student in my Vantage gradebook?



Solution

You can quickly get to the gradebook for any course by locating that course on your My Courses dashboard and opening the Gradebook page.

You can access your Vantage gradebook from the course tile on your My Courses dashboard.

 

If you are already in another area of your Vantage course, you can easily get to the Gradebook from the top navigation menu.

If you are in another tab of your course, you can use the top navigation menu to access the Gradebook tab.

 

The Search students feature allows you to quickly find a specific student in the gradebook.

At the top right of the gradebook, you can locate students quickly by using the "Search students" tool.

Once you start typing a name, the gradebook automatically filters to any students that include a match.

This example image shows a list of students matching the search term. In this example, "An" was typed in and 4 students that have "an" in their names show in the list. The gradebook filters to only the students returned based on the search term.

A list of student names matching the criteria also appears under the search box. You can click a name in this list to filter the gradebook to show only that student.

When the search term returns multiple students, you can click the student's name in the list under the search box.
